Happy Birthday to Surgeon Giorgio Bottani – Summary of successes and professional activities

Happy Birthday wishes to Professor Giorgio Bottani, Director of the Surgery Unit at the Ligurian High Specialty Clinical Institute ICLAS SRL. And, from 2021 CTU (Technical office consultant) of the Court of Pavia for the following specializations: General surgery, Digestive System Surgery, Thoracic Pulmonary Surgery and Microsurgery. Professor Bottani's professional healthcare experience includes two decades as Medical Director at the Institute of Scientific Hospitalization and Care Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia. To which ones, followed up, the role of Head of the General Surgery Department of the Vittoria Asylum Hospital in Mortara, in provincia di Pavia. At the cutting edge, with the direction of Bottani in interventions on the obese with various techniques including the innovative "gastric plication" practiced on approximately 12 almost. The procedure, from what Prof explains to us. Bottani, consisted, in the “restriction without resection, but falling back, until the initial capacity is reduced"

In the same Mortara hospital it was echoed in 2014, always for the General Surgery Department, a record-breaking operation on the pancreas.

Member, of the Italian Society of Obesity Surgery and Metabolic Diseases, the surgeon from Pavia, of national and international caliber, he is also a scholar of food science with the publication, current, of numerous articles.
