The Cliff eighteen years later – Angela Battaglia

Arenzano 4 September 1996

– CLIFF, EIGHTEEN YEARS LATER –

We devoted the sadness of the morning,

when you went.

A sadly incomplete:

I alone without you

The Cliff was no longer & ugrave; Cliff;

became a place of & rsquo; waiting.

Then you arrived

and the flowers were flowers. And the sun was sun.

The gulls were flying more & ugrave; free from a rock & Outdoors, more.

The sea took on the flavor of the inviting charm

that always gives off.

And the ears of rosemary, pi & ugrave; verdi.

Moments, minutes, days, that & ograve; seemed moments

the passing of the hours.

You and I in the Cliff

with Maria, Gianfranco, In, Miriam,

che ci riempiono la casa,

& Egrave; our Cliff,

& Egrave; our love, & Egrave; our oasis of happiness & agrave; earthly,

that can & ograve; compared to the dream,

My joy.
