Music is a universal language, and who possesses the qualities he, or he has had, reason to benefit from that possibility wide gratification, although in amateur way. The '60s were defined "fabulous" because the economy was in strong growth, even if that period was the bearer of social and political effervescence. Young people wanted to change the world … like today. But to remain in the music field, I wish to recall an experience that touches me closely. For several years, during that time, I played the electric basset ( like the Beatles) in a band, then, we called complex.  In 1969 I attended the "strangers Festival" which he was held at Ariccia (RM), a singing event created by Teddy Reno (memories) in 1961, residing in the municipality of the same name, and with the intent to discover new talent. in 1962 the Festival was won by Rita Pavone who, later to become the wife of Teddy. this event, in his excursus of several years he brought to the fore several artists who subsequently savored success. Among the many: Marcella Bella, time, Ivan Cattaneo,, Claudio Baglioni, Rita Pavone … and many others. But we come to the chronicle of that year I attended. Towards the end of August '69 – the precision for the 31 -, il complexcomposed Riki Nose (entry), Jordanian Lucchini (keyboards), Sergio Bersani (battery),Marco Canon (lead guitar), Gianpiero Delmati– alias Bobo – (bassetto), reached the town appears in the car starting from Milan. After passing the auditions and consequently selections 8 edition, we proposed our performance to the large audience in the square (circa 4.000 attendance), including several artists such as: Linda Christian Power, Franco Franchi, Ciccio Ingrassia, Barbara Mouth, the famous tailor then Shubert and other show business personalities … He welcomed him stermionato stage for the final, Sunday 31 August, will be. The emotion felt is indescribable, It has remained in the heart, indelibly to date. The adrenaline rush was sky. We performed the song: "Solo, I'm alone" of … I do not remember, but very well remember the enthusiasm of the audience. The participatory heat of the onlookers would send us into raptures. At the end the heart of each of us was beating strongly at the end of the great emotion felt, and for looking after the verdict that the jury, jointly to the intensity of the applause, would have pronounced. Few minutes of waiting spasmodic. We deserved 3° place. Teddy Reno awards the winners: 1° classified "Overall Beba and racchie" ( Perhaps one of the first complexes to women); 2° Eugenio Castaldo and 3° Riki and its Complex, ex aequo with Lucilla Galeazzi .  However you think, such participation has enriched my mind giving me emotions hardly repeatable. Beyond the personalities and random considerations, Ariccia and her strangers Festival, remain a colorful coriander in the history of Italian music.
